Content Specialist

Volume 9 Inc. is currently seeking an SEO Content Specialist to help execute search engine optimization campaigns across multiple clients. The position will play a critical role in the growth of our clients’ online presence. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in achieving measurable results through the execution of best-practices in white hat SEO tactics and content generation across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop and use SEO techniques to positively influence organic rankings for targeted keywords including doing keyword research, creating and implementing content updates, providing strategic link building direction, blog posting, article marketing, utilizing social media tactics and more.
• Improve the ROI of all SEO efforts, tracking performance across multiple campaigns by growing organic search engine traffic and revenue year-over-year as determined by measurable goals and metrics with daily involvement in web analytics and other reporting tools.
• Candidate must have excellent problem solving abilities and the drive to maintain and expand current knowledge of SEO trends and technologies.

The successful candidate will also be expected to do the following:
• Proactively recommend ways to improve traffic and conversions through content development.
• Build keyword strategies based on client priorities and SEO opportunities.
• Manage tasks and project calendars with set deadlines.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of search engine ranking criteria and algorithm updates.
• Interpret and provide strategy based on various analytics reports.
• Knowledge of SEO for blogging and Wordpress.

Skills requirements:
• Strong analytic skills including knowledge of Google Analytics, Adwords Keyword Tool, SEOMoz, and SEM Rush.
• Copywriting and editing skills to review and expand existing websites.
• Able to analyze HTML, CSS and Javascript code to identify and correct SEO issues.
• Ability to update web pages via CMS systems and FTP access.
• Comfort juggling multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure.
• Track record of traffic and ranking improvements using content development techniques.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
